Anne Boleyn’s Execution Video – Derek Wilson

Derek Wilson is one of my favourite historians and authors so I’m very excited about him being a part of Anne Boleyn Day 2016. In this video, Derek reads from his first historical novel, The First Horseman, in which his protagonist, Thomas Treviot, witnesses Anne Boleyn’s execution. He then talks about what it would be like for a Tudor person to witness such an event.

MadeGlobal Publishing is excited to have Derek Wilson publishing his forthcoming Treviot novel with them and one lucky commenter will win a copy of The Devil’s Chalice. Simply go to https://www.madeglobal.com/3314/derek-wilson-anne-boleyns-execution/ and follow the instructions there.

  1. Thank you very much Mr. Wilson. What a unique point of view, from your reading from your book. It really sparked my imagination, thinking of this sad event from the point of view of a ‘common man’, or at least a man we don’t know from the history books. I very much enjoyed it.

  2. This was by far one of the best accounts I have ever had the privilege of listening to. Derek Wilson, through the eyes of his main character, brings the listener to the gruesome deed that will take place on 19th May 1536. Mr. Wilson, my hat is off to you, you are an orator extraordinaire, and your writing is second to none! Congratulations on capturing the attention of one who does not stop to listen very often. A beautifully written account of our Queen’s murder at the hands of her lecher of a husband.
