Hypothetical question but what would YOU do if you owned the sword that Anne Boleyn was executed with?
I know this is a random question but it’s just out of interest. If you knew 100% that the sword you owned was the REAL sword that executed Anne Boleyn what would you do with it?

I would definitely keep it, why I don’t know Confused
It may sound gruesome but I just couldn’t get rid of it whatever

I don’t think I would really like to keep it, but I don’t think I could bring myself to sell it either. I think I would probably donate it to the British Museum.

I don’t think I’d keep it either . I think I’d donate it to British Museum but more probably to the Tower of London.

It's always bunnies.

Hmm well this is a good one I would love to hold it in my hands just once, as I would be touching something that used against Anne, it would somehow make me feel closer to her. Guess that sounds a bit perverted. Of course in reality it should be in the History museum, as a reminder to those who come and see it that there was a time when a king went mad for the love of one woman and killed her.

I’d give it to the Tower of London, it just feels like it belongs there.

Me? i would donate it to Hever. The sword that killed her, resting in her home. Or Blickling hall. Full circle so to speak. Life and death in her birthplace.

It’s unlikely that Anne was born at Hever, but in any event I’m not sure, if I was Anne, that I would like the weapon which killed me being in my beloved family home.Cry

Anne’s birthplace has always been a bit of a mystery, it also depends on whose books you read some say Hever others say Blickling Hall.

The argument as to where Anne was born stems from whether you believe she was born in 1501 or 1507. The Boleyns moved to Hever in 1505.
