Great work Neil. I am grateful that Mamma Mia! hit the stage first cause I could see this being seriously considered (cause if you can have an opera about Jerry Springer anything is up for grabs) if the ABBA songs weren't already locked up. I'm not familiar with the non singles you included but the titles alone are very appropriate. Just one suggestion perhaps in the court scene involving Anne there could be a number by the Lords based on I Kissed The Teacher but reworded to You Kissed Your Brother.

That should say carriage not train
BB- I didn't realise but there was a very shocked lady sitting behind me! We both got off the train together where she tried to give it back to me- I couldn't take it- I told her she was welcome to it but that it was a terrible book with zero accuracy and despite that very little imagination!
She thanked me, but I think she thought I was deranged!
Maybe I am deranged…

Deranged? How? This sounds sensible to me! Pity that trains are only so big…

I'm so glad I have your agreement! I would love to ask PG if she has ever read anything to do with the subjects in her horrible novels! She seems to pick a name and just run with her imagination. How did anything by her ever get published?!
Ok- that was good to vent!

That's not even the most annoying part. There are elements of TOBG that I honestly liked. Namely the way she created the atmosphere of Tudor life. Despite the bad history, she draws readers in. She's not the worst writer I've ever seen, which really bugs me because I often think what TOBG could have been if she'd stuck to the facts!

I absolutely agree with you Beth- the atmosphere was spot on in TOBG (so annoying that she did NO research on the facts)- I actually have the book at home . Oh God, I should be stoned to death by all good Tudor fans. Including myself.
Yes!- if only trains were bigger! I think it was the “novel” about Princess Elizabeth… I have actually been able to block it from my memory!
