We all know about Henry's feelings about and for Anne. Lust,Love,Betrayal,Hate,Forgotten.  But what do you think did Anne actually feel for and about Henry? –

In the beginning, I think it depends on whether Anne had a legit relationship with Henry Percy and if she did then I think she'd feel dislike towards Henry. Overtime though I think she did start to love him but did not allow herself to fully love him until she knew he was serious and he thought of her as more than just a potential mistress and more like wife & mother material. Then I think she did love him alot and didn't have enough time to show him that because as soon as they were married all Henry thought about was his future 'son' and from there on she wasn't thought of his exciting new love but instead as his wife who needs to become a baby making machine. Then, obviously, came the time when Henry started disliking her while she still loved him. She had just started really loving him when he started really disliking her which is sad. I think she died loving Henry but felt very betrayed also. Sometimes when your mad at someone so much you think you hate them but you really do love'em and Anne probably felt that way during her arrest and all that stuff. I'm not sure whether Henry still had love for her until and after her death but it's hard to see someone love another so much than just begin to hate them out of nowhere, so I have that little hope that maybe Henry loved her after all the crap even if he was a mean man. He was the kind of person that would never admit it anyways…

Thoughts?

Mya,
I just came across this. Don’t know how I missed it.
I don’t think she loved Henry in the beginning. I think she was angry over Percy and may have blamed Henry for destroying that love. After she was hounded by him, he began to win her heart. I think she knew Henry very well and came to love him in spite of herself. Knowing him as she did though, I think she may have thought something like, “I should have seen this coming!” When she was taken to the Tower, she asked Kingston if she would get justice. When told that all subjects received justice from the king, she laughed. Yes, she knew him well.
I wonder if every once in a while she had thoughts that something like this would happen to her. I think that’s why she took her time in giving her love to him, and then it was too late. She obviously didn’t dwell on these thoughts if she had them, and maybe she didn’t think he would go as far as he did, but I think she thought Henry could turn on her as he had turned on others he claimed to love. As soon as she thought it, she pushed these thoughts to the back of her mind. I don’t know if she became angry at the end. I’ll bet she was more afraid than angry. Then accepting. But always loving Henry.
As far as Henry loving Anne. I think he had a genuine fondness for her. I think he lusted for her. I don’t think Henry was capable of real love.
