The home of West Ham United Football Club, the Boleyn Ground is so called as it stands on the site of Green Street House and grounds which, due to its imposing nature was known as Boleyn Castle. This used to be the property of the Catholic Church and Anne either stayed there or, as some believe, owned the house. Does anyone know more about Green Street House and/or Anne's association with it?

As a West Ham fan, and also my local club I am devastated that it is soon to be knocked down.
We also have a public house named The Boleyn just a few steps from the ground, which has a lovely portrait of Anne.
I cant answer your question, but I know a lot of the surrounding road names also have a tudor theme.

I'm sad the ground is soon to be knocked down just why do they have to destroy everything with any historical significance? It really annoys me

I'm don't really know much about Boleyn Ground, but I did find a photograph of its tower (dated from the 1900's). It was destroyed in 1955. I'm also not sure about the rumour of Henry building it for Anne. But, West Ham was a good place for visiting both London and Rochford Hall.

It is a pity the tower was destroyed. I wish it was still standing.
I could not find any information (other than some conjecture) that Anne or her family was associated with the castle. However, logic would have it that, since the castle was named Boleyn, her family must have had some connection to the area and the building. I wish more information was avaliable, but it could be one of those things lost to history.
