Oh my goodness, what would I do/say? Probably fling myself on the floor and start crying tears of joy! Wow, that would be amazing. I'm usually fairly practical but I will admit my one fantastical dream is meeting Anne. Can you imagine it: “Pray tell who these persons are. And why are they dressed like scanty rouges? But, wait…they are praising me! Perhaps these are subjects that love me, their true Queen, as they should, and not the dour Spanish Katherine…” Ooh I would love to meet Anne!

Oh My Goodness- umm I have no clue what I would do-but I guess I would sit down with her and have her tell me her story-about Henry, her daughter, Elizabeth, or course her family-brother, sister, father, mother etc. I would just have so many questions I would have to write them all down. But it would be an honor to meet her really-it is cheesy but I would probably ask for her autograph. I would hope to get some 101 time with her-but it would get crazy with her being there-if she was.
so overwhelmed.

I would sit with her and have her ask me anything she wanted to know. If I didn't know the answer, I would find it for her. I'd tell her of her family. I 'd show her all that has been written about her. I'd show her everything I could about her daughter. I would tell her how Elizabeth was the greatest monarch England ever had. I would tell her how even after 500 years, she and her daughter have not been forgotten. I would ask her tons of questions like: What are the things that are correct and/or incorrect that have been written about her and Henry? Did she die loving Henry? Was she angry with him? What was he like in the beginning? When did she know she loved him? Was it his letters that finally convinced her that he loved her? What she thought when she saw the locket on Jane's neck? All those questions and more!

I agree, wreckmasterjay. Although–not sure if I would completely want to hear whether she was guilty or not. I am 99.9999% sure she was innocent of course (I would say 100% but that wouldn't really be fair to all the people who put biographies out there saying she was guilty) but…I would be very nervous, wouldn't you?

You guys pretty much said it all! I would for sure ask her her birthday for God sakes, lol. I would also ask about her relationship with Henry … you know, the juicy stuff! I would ask about the relationship between her and her siblings and for information on them. I would for sure show her all that has been done and said in her honor (also against her , I think, to see her reaction). I would take a picture of her and would naturally have to then explain the camera to her, lol.

Things in the house would be hard to explain, too. For instance a Microwave? Heck electricity would blow her away! Indoor modern plumbing. Machines that wash and dry clothes. Clothes that can be washed everyday. Television, cell phones and computers. And we’d have to convince her these things are not witchcraft. She’d need time to learn about these things before she ever stepped out the door and had to learn about planes, trains and cars.

This may sound cheesy but the first thing I’d say to her would be “Thank you for being such a great role model.” I’d tell her why she has been such an inspiration and influence in my life. I’d probably be crying as I did so (sap that I am). Then I’d love to hear her version of things; Henry’s courtship, her feelings towards him, her time as Queen, her fall and time in the Tower, etc.
I think that Anne would really enjoy the freedom we modern women have today. I can totally see her going to an Ivy League university and earning a stack of degrees before heading off to work for the UN.

I can actually see her in a position of power, yet acting charitably and responsibly. All with a fabulous wardrobe of course!
If she had a son who survived, history as we know it would have been quite different. I would think he would’ve grown up with Anne religious beliefs and there wouldn’t have been the religious turmoil that categorized Edward’s and Mary’s reigns.
Of course it was Anne’s child who brought a modicum of peace and stability in the end

If Anne had had a son…obviously Henry would have kept her, I agree that she would be in a position of power and charitable and responsible. And of course the fabulous wardrobe 🙂
I know Anne living would be wonderful of course, but without Elizabeth what would have happened to England? What if there wasn’t an England, but just a big Spain? Hmm…

1. I would introduce Anne to jeans, and keep her away from Philippa Gregory novels.
2. I would also probably want to hug her and say, “YOU’RE FREAKING AWESOME….Can I have your autograph?”
3. Teach her about a little thing called the Y chromosome. lol
4. Wouldn’t it be awesome if Anne met Natalie Dormer?
5. Show her how many fans she has on facebook, and just overall in general.
6. Remind her how amazingly awesome she is.
7. Try to convince her to run for president, like others have said. THAT WOULD BE COOL!
8. Take picture with her and post it as my profile pic on Facebook.
9. Have her tell the real story of her life! I would be so intrigued!!
10. Show her how Elizabeth triumphed, and ask her what she felt about the queens that followed her. (“Poor Jane Seybore, I pity her for having to be buried next to He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named!”)
11. Introduce her to Mrs.Claire Ridgeway. I think they would get along quite splendidly.
I have so many other things, but I don’t want to bore y’all:)

I agree Kat, especially on the point about how Elizabeth triumphed. In my opinion Anne was a great mother, and she gave up a lot for Elizabeth (and we’re talking about the daughter who basically ruined her chance for future greatness/happiness/alive-ness, so it’s an even more massive feat). I think Anne would be overjoyed to hear about Elizabeth.
