Yes.. It was much trumped over here in Aus that she was a commoner.. I was mistakenly delivered a book about Kate and William and read it when ill. It made me worse, but from what I remember her parents started an internet business and became zillionaires… How strange that they are dressing her up- she doesn't need it, she is beautiful, poised, and elegant. Much better than camilla. meow.

I agree E. There is no need to dress Catherine up. Can people not accept that a commoner can be poised, elegant, and beautiful? Apparenlty not. What is the big deal if she is a commoner? For me, she is more relatable. She cannot help her geneology, but to constantly publish stories about her familiy history is annoying. She is who she is, and William loves her for it, and that should be all that matters. Frankly, the royal family need some normality once in awhile.
If this is her real geneology, then she has interesting family connections, but does not change how I see and feel about her.

Your right- they certainly need normality! I hope Kate keeps herself as her stylist- I love her outfits, she always looks wonderful!

There is something of history at work again. Both Boleyn girls had affairs with Henry, but Anne married him, ultimately her brother George also lost his life as well when Anne was also put to death.
Kate has a brother and a sister. However, Kate's sister seems just as ambitious to marry well (the press have linked her with the current George Percy and also Prince Harry) just as the Boleyn sisters did. That for me was quite striking when I read that in the newspaper!

I have to say when I heard the news of Wills and Kates engagement I wondered if anyone would remember Anne and her carefully shadowed ancestry.. I can't imaging William having an affair with pipa, killing Kate and her brother and turning into a monstrous fat tyrant, but I'm not sure Henry 8's subjects would have imagined he would either! Oh dear. I hope Kate will be okay..

Lorraine: That is so interesting! *Getting chills here!* Beautiful, not-royal brunette…now who does that sound like?! 😀
But I do actually think, in light of all of our love for Anne Boleyn, that it's very cool that Kate Middleton is related to Mary Boleyn.

A friend of mine claims to be related very distantly to Anne Boleyn…..I'm trying to get the info out of her as to how and in what way. Would be nice eh??!!
I`ve mentioned this before…but a few years ago on one of DH`s RC planes board some- guy claimed to be a descendant of Anne and George`s child who was born in 1538 …and he had PROOF!

Anyanka – Firstly, about the article, how interesting! I think Claire did a post way back on how Kate Middleton was related to Mary Boleyn…but I suppose the experts would know…
And that is so strange!!! But if we're talking about Anne Boleyn and George Boleyn (which I'm assuming we are), that would make the baby two years later than both parents' deaths, wouldn't it??
