Sorry, I got a bit confused when it said Anne’s descendants – ‘course it must mean descendants of her relatives! *smacks head*
Wreckmaster – there was a story of an older man who tried for ages to get Anne’s name cleared but it came to nothing. I think he may have been in the army or something, and I’m not sure but Claire may have a post about it somewhere. I know I read about it somewhere!

Yes that is true, an ex RAF guy I think he fought in the war and tried in 2005 to get an official pardon and her remains exhumed to be placed in a proper crypt. The home office turned around and said that after all this time there was not enough evidence to warrent re opening the case.
In my opinion I think there is more than enough evidence to have her case looked at, even 500 years later!! It wont bring Anne back but it will give her some dignity back from those who dont know the truth.
Interesting, I didn’t know someone tried to have her name cleared! I am going to look that up for the heck of it. What I find funny is that the UK Royal Government site in their history section says Anne is innocent … so why won’t they do more about it, ya know?!
