There have been a number of highly critical reviews of this book on Amazon. That’s the nature of the beast when you put yourself out there. There have also been some positive reviews, which I may not agree with but there you are.
Unfortunately the author has starting answering critical reviews and in doing so is often defensive and has resulted to personal attacks on anyone who has challenged her. There really is nowhere back from there.
Someone should take her to one side and tell her that insulting detractors really is the thin end of the wedge. For God’s sake…Weir does it!!

I’ve just read Zupanec’s comments plus the one by the person praising her and having a go at a reviewer. In that comment the person accuses The Anne Boleyn Files of having a go at Zupanec. That commenter then accuses a self-published author who writes about Anne Boleyn ( I assume she means me!) of launching a campaign against Zupanec and being responsible for the negative reviews. As if I haven’t got anything better to do! I do not know any of the reviewers who reviewed her book and have nothing to do with it getting bad reviews. It’s ridiculous.

I have kept my personal feelings about the book to myself, I have not reviewed it and all I have done is questioned some of the theories in it, which caused a personal attack on me from Zupanec which she eventually took down. If an author is going to say things like Anne had two phantom pregnancies, that historians have mistranslated sources and controversial things about Anne then surely they should expect people to question their theories and interpretation of sources. History is all about using primary sources, coming to conclusions, sharing those conclusions, being challenged/debating those ideas and then the idea growing from that. Nothing is set in stone unless it is absolute fact corroborated by many sources.

It appears that the negative reviews, though, are more to do with Zupanec’s use of English and the editing of the book.

2 phantom pregancies? so I guess Anne must have had 2 phantom miscarriages as well LOL. Maybe Anne’s execution/murder was a figment of Anne’s mind as well then LOL
Quite right about questioning sources for any outragious sources. It sounds like this Zupanec and SWMNBN are one and the same person. SWMNBN invents things to fit the facts (which are usually wrong) as she sees them.
