Have you ever noticed when speaking about Henry V111 or his queens nearly everyone mentions Anne Boleyn above any other Queen of Henry's?
I've always asked myself why???
Has anyone else ever realised this when ever a mention of Henry comes up? I would go as far as to say if you asked a hundred people just about everyone would answer “Oh yes……Anne Boleyn” (Or something along those lines!)
But why? Is it because she was the first Queen of England to be beheaded?
Is it because of the English reformation?
I really don't know but I must admit myself if I hear talk of Henry Anne does come to mind
Katherine Howard died so tragically young, afraid and by that awful axe but people really don't mention her.
Jane Seymour gave her life giving Henry a son but people don't really mention her either in fact ALL of Henry's queens in one way or another had tragic lives through being Henry's Queen but Anne is always the one remembered first…..I wonder why???

i think its all you said and more maybe its because Henry put aside Cathrine who had done no wrong apart from not giving him an heir. Anne also was a commoner and men lost there lives because of her. She really did change England forever. What if Prince Arthur didn,t die what would england have been like then? i am sure we would not have heard of one A nne Boleyn

Anne wasn't a commoner – she was of noble birth. I think the reason people know her so well in comparison to the other wives is the passionate, bitter-sweet and tragic life she shared with Henry. Their tale is so romantic yet ends in tragedy, very Shakespeare-ish. Anne is responsible for many changes in our country, in effect she changed the world by marrying Henry. As for Henry – he defied convention to marry the woman he loved – Anne. In comparison to Katherine Howard, most people believe she was guilty of the charges against her, Anne clearly was not. Anne's innocence causes people to be compassionate towards her fate. Katherine Howard's guilt brings people to pity her, but not respect her like they do Anne Boleyn.
"It is however but Justice, & my Duty to declre that this amiable Woman was entirely innocent of the Crimes with which she was accused, of which her Beauty, her Elegance, & her Sprightliness were sufficient proofs..." Jane Austen.

I think it's because of the very conterversial (?spelling) relationship between Henry and Anne but that's only one thing, I also think it's because Anne was the most talked about wife then and just now. If Henry and Anne lived now I guarentee they'd be on the front of every gossip magazine because of how complicated and juicy their love was to people outside the relationship, people that didn't understand why Henry wanted to leave Katherine for Anne.
I also think of Anne whenever Henry or anything about Kings/royalty is brought up LOL.

I think a good conclusion to this would be – Anne's story and life really ties into Henry's and bringing up Henry is bringing up her too. It's almost impossible to talk about Henry VIII without his famous 6 wives being brought up and Mademoiselle Anne was thee most famous because of the reactions to their relationship and the beauty of the story yet the very tragic ending, like Elliemarianna said very shakespeare-ish. Plus Anne's personality was so stand out-ish from all the other wives I think that makes her that more interesting. It's impossible to talk about Charles without thinking Diana, It's impossible to think about Romeo without Juliet, and it's impossible to think about Henry without thinking about Anne Boleyn. It's that simple.
