Hi Everyone,
Thank you all for your wonderful posts and discussions. I love the way that there are so many debates going on on this forum and that people are getting to know each other, it's wonderful! However, recently there have been a few threads which have been getting rather heated and I've had reports from people who are upset at the tone of some of the posts. I've always prided myself on this website being a friendly community where everyone, no matter what their level of knowledge, their background or their views, can post without the fear of looking “stupid” or being attacked. I hate “academic” forums where people are constantly corrected and criticized so I want to keep the friendly atmosphere here.
I know we all feel passionate about Tudor history, and passion is fantastic and I know I'm constantly on my soap box and high horse about things, but debate just does not happen when personal attacks start or when people feel silly. I want to keep debate alive, open and friendly, and I know most of you feel that way too. So, to cut this rather long post a bit shorter, please do let me know if you feel a user is over-stepping the mark or being offensive in any way and please don't just give up on this forum.
Thanks so much for your support, this website would not be the same without you!
