Hi Everyone,

Like for the last two books, how about you all throw out ideas that you have (and if you want to read a book someone else has mentioned, please agree). I will then check for the general consensus and post which book will be the next book club book.

Thanks!

xx Alyssa

I have literally just started 'Mary, Queen of France' by Jean Plaidy.   Other suggestions …..

The Sisters who Would be Queen by Leanda De Lisle  (i have this sat on my bookshelf waiting to be read)

Jane Boleyn: The Infamous Lady Rochford by Julia Fox (another one sat on my bookshelf waiting to be read)

Why not join my page on Facebook – Tudor Dynasty

The Sisters Who Would Be Queen is also sitting on my bookcase, waiting to be read.

May I also suggest David Starkey's Elizabeth, and Mary Tudor by Anna Whitelock.

Wait…will this be for December or January?  I'm on a book buying hiatus for the moment so I'm stuck with stuff that I all ready own (which is precious little).

I wouldn't mind re-reading Starkey's Elizabeth.  Or if anyone would like to join me on my journey through his Six Wives of Henry VIII I'm almost to Jane Seymour 😀

The Other Boleyn Girl might be interesting just to discuss how terrible it is 😀

The Sister Who Would be Queen by Leanda De Lisle or Starkey's Elizabeth are both on my bookshelf.

I would like to read The Sisters Who Would be Queen.  So throw my vote on that one, too.

And The Other Tudors.  I can't buy that one on Kindle so I'll have to order it anyway, and I have every intent on ordering it one way or another.

I have The Sisters Who Would Be Queen on order and coming towards the middle of December, so I would be keen as beans for that one…

“Six Wives” is a good one.  It's one of my favorite 'go to' reference books.

I would like the Sisters Who Would be Queen, also.

Some others on my wish list are:

The Mistresses of Henry VIII by Kelly Hart

Id like to read something on Mary Tudor, maybe Anna Whitelock's new book: Mary Tudor, Princess, Bastard, Queen.

Innocent Traitor by Alison Weir

Elizabeth by David Starkey

Brett, If you haven't read it yet, “The First Queen of England,” by Linda Porter is also a good book about Mary Tudor.

I wouldn't mind either The sisters who would be queen or Linda Porter's Mary.

It's always bunnies.

OK, thanks everyone for your input! The book we will read next is…The Sisters Who Would Be Queen by Leanda de Lisle. We will start the discussion in the beginning of January.

Happy reading!

OK, so I realize that most everyone (me included) has been caught up with the holidays and maybe didn't have enough time to read our book club book (The Sisters Who Would Be Queen by Leanda de Lisle). I will wait another few days (somewhere around the 10th or 15th) and then start the book club discussion. See everyone then!
