Anyanka, I think for this one you have to suspend all you know about Henry and Anne and just go with the story as is. It is more about Anne’s death in that first lifetime than it is about the other stuff. More a book about reincarnation and forgiveness in future lifetimes than it is about the real history of Henry and Anne. It could be about anyone really. The fact that Anne takes many lifetimes to forgive Henry seems plausible to me. lol She learns from all the lifetimes and in the last one she reaches for forgiveness. Personally, it would take me many more lifetimes before that would happen.
It’s not a book for everyone. I looked at it as a fun read.

Eaxctly what Sharon said. You really have to let go and forget everything you know about Anne and read it with an open mind. The fact that Anne goes through so many other lives to finally be at terms with what happend to her in her life as Anne Boleyn is very moving and she really has to learn the true meaning of forgiveness and how to treat others the right way. Like I said before, This book plays with the idea of Karma and has a very very good message to it – Treat others the way you want to be treated and all will be good in the end. But if you really can’t get into it then that’s fine because honestly there are a few Alison Weir books that i’ve seen discussed on here that I cannot get into at all, what-so-ever. There are some other books too that I can’t either understand or, not to offend, care enough to try to understand. I hope I made some sense….?
• Grumble all you like, this is how it’s going to be.

I can’t…I just can’t suspend disbelief soo much..
Daleks, Silence and Time Lords
elves and magic rings…
a secret platform at Kings Cross I can deal with..
I pick the book up, I read..I get upset and put it down cos the history is soo verry verrrrrry wrong…then a couple of months later…it can’t be that bad and then a whole load of anachronistic crud smacks me in the face…
I must be a glutton for punishment…
It's always bunnies.
