I’d read about LDS post-humously baptising people like Anne Frank but to my surprise HVIII and “some of his wives” have also been baptised.

Even after reading the article I need to ask why? The best I could work out is it allows missionaries to meet their quota of conversion. Which leads to the next question of if it’s that easy for them to baptize a dead persn why not just do their missionary work in a cemetary?
