Hello all! My name is Manda, I’m 26 and I hail from Texas. When the American film version of TOBG was being promoted, I was intrigued. A friend highly recommended the book so I picked it up and fell in love.

I have been called a closet folklorist/historian because when I read historical fiction, I get… obsessed. I knew that there was much more to the story and did a little more research, along with watching The Tudors. Gradually my obsession faded until I recently began to rewatch and hopefully finish The Tudors. The historical inaccuracies bug me but I love it. Anyway, I am on the dreaded episode 10 of season 2 and a few days ago I decided to sink my teeth into research again. I want to learn as much as I can about the time period and the people who lived in it, especially Anne. I simply can’t believe that the woman who gave such a brave speech imploring the people to pray for Henry and speaking of what a great prince he was could possibly have committed the crimes she was accused of.
