Hello everyone! My name is Anne and I am from Greece. My interest in Anne began years ago, when I was nine(!).I was looking up if there were any intresting known Annes.I’ve read of many Annes but the Anne that actually enthralled me was that Anne Boleyn, whose husband beheaded her on false charges(that was all it said about her and still I was hooked up.I started asking questions about her and the only one who told me about her was my grandfather. He was a sailor and as a young man he had been to England for a while. He had visited Hever Castle(I think there were some pictures but I can’t find them) and told me the tale of King Henry and his many wives, how two of them lost their heads, one of them being the “Lady of Hever”as he called her and how her innocence swone when her daughter, after many trials became a great Queen. As you can see,my grandfather is also quite a Boleyn fan. So,all these years, through history classes, books, the Tudors and movies I ‘ve become an admirer of Anne and her era.I found this great site where people who admire Anne try to find out who this great woman was.I love productive discussions and I’m open and respectfull for every opinion and I love the chance that is given to me to learn and discuss all about Anne.
I wanted to say a few things about me and how my fanscination with Anne began!I’m so excited being here!

Welcome, Anne. I hope you enjoy the Anne Boleyn Forum. What part of Greece are you from? I visited Greece in 2003 and loved it. Your country has some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen. The people are nice and friendly, too.

Welcome, Anne! Sorry–this welcome is a bit late. I actually visited both Greece and Istanbul this summer, and I loved Istanbul and Athens, as well as a few Aegean islands. Lucky you to live in such a gorgeous country, and lucky you to have the same name as Anne 🙂 Again, welcome to the site and forum and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!!

Well,the title wreckmasterjay said:
Hi Anne…..great name for a fan of our hero!! And calling her the “Lady of Hever”….I think that actually sounds a nice title for her too
I have been to Crete and Rhodes but never mainland Greece, as a lover of history I would love to go to Athens and explore some of the wrecks off the coast! Your lucky to live in such a historically rich place
Well, this title was my grandfather’s invention as he’s the first Boleyn fan in my family! What can I say about my name,I guess it was inevitable being named Anne not to come becoming interested in her!!!
As for my country, thanks a lot and I hope you come visit and mainland Greece and explore!
