Hello all, I am so happy to have found this site to share my love for the Tudors and Anne Boleyn. I just graduated with my degree in History from the University of Montevallo in Alabama, US where i currently live. I have visited Ireland, Greece, Turkey, Germany and Mexico and I cant wait to make it to England to see all the places of Henry VIII and Anne. On top of studying Anne, i love to read about: Mary Tudor, Elizabeth, Henry VIII, Mary Queen of Scots, and I am currently reading and researching into the time before the Tudors, the War of the Roses. Cant wait to get more involved in the book club on this site.
Best Wishes

Hi Brett, welcome! This site and the forum are both great. I hope you like them as much as I do! Good luck with your research on the War of the Roses. It is a very interesting war and time period, and gives you lots of background info if you love the Tudor and Elizabethan periods. If you want to get involved with the book club section, I suggest you go there and vote on the next book! You can do that by clicking on my post and then scrolling down to the poll Claire set up. Anyone may, of course, message me with any questions. Have fun with the AB Files!

Hi Brett,
Welcome to the forum and the AB Files and congratulations on your degree. What periods of history did you study?
Its a small University, around 3000 students, therefore the department wasnt very big so there wasnt anyone one area you could focus on. So i took just about everything except classic history.

Wow Brett you've been to a few places havent you! I love travelling and checking out the history of the places. Whats your best place you've ever been then?
Enjoy it on here, I am addicted
Its hard to say which one is the best or my favorite, they are all unique and amazing in their own way. I would say the biggest cultural shock was Greece and Turkey and 2 amazing places to go for history fans!

I haven't been to Egypt yet, but wow, Rome!! I love Roman history too (although my liking for Rome could never compete with my love for everything Tudor!) and Rome is absolutely fantastic, I completely agree, wreckmasterjay. I have to say, though, after all the places I've been, I love England hands-down the most.

Wow, your brain must be so full of history now!
I'm glad you love England. I'm rather biased as it's my home country but it is a beautiful country and it has so many historical attractions. I'm lucky where I live now in Spain as I'm only just over an hour away from the Alhambra in Granada with its beautiful Nasrid Palace, we have Moorish remains dotted around our village and I live in a 300 year old house, so plenty of history here!

Wow, Claire, you're so lucky to live in Spain! Which region do you live in? It's so beautiful–I recently travelled there–and I love the language. The cities are so beautiful and historical.
