Yes, I know Shakespere's birthplace! Hello all my name is Lorraine. Been fascinated by Elizabeth I for many years – about 30 to be exact! I also did O'Level history on Elizabeth and that is when I became even more entrenched about the Tudors.
Last few years though I haven't really given Elizabeth much room in my head. Then on Friday night (just gone) I had the most vivid of dreams. Now my dreams have a bit of a habit coming true and nailing things on the head, but even for me this was beyond all comprehension. I dreamt I was in Westminster Abbey, I was stood up near the alter to the right side of me I looked and saw a young Pricess Elizabeth being crowned Queen, I saw the crown being placed upon her head, the ointment, the placing of the orb in her hand and her also having a ring on her finger. I recall I was standing wearing a very heavy brocaded dress, I knew there was a chain around my neck. I recall the church being mainly of men in finery and wearing doublets with velvet jackets, but that was brief, I was just mesmerised by seeing Elizabeth and watching her being crowned. Unbelievable really. So here I am back full circle getting interested in Elizabeth again.
Ultimately that means of course Anne Boleyn who was Elizabeth's mother. Yet I don't feel I know Anne like I feel I know Elizabeth, yet Anne is instrinsically a part of Elizabeth. Yes I do think she should be pardoned. Do I think her body should be moved – I don't know I shall sit out on the fence if you don't mind on that.

Hi Lorraine and welcome to the AB Files. I hope you enjoy your time here. It's a great place! You are from a beautiful place, and I did love seeing Stratford a few years ago. I look forward to reading your posts. Cheers!

Hi and welcome, Lorraine! I was actually just 'across the pond' a few weeks ago and made trips to Stratford and Warwick Castle (it's changed a bit since I last went there, but the Henry VIII and his six wives models are amazing). Hope you love the AB Files and forum as much as I do!
P.S. If you love Elizabeth I, you should check out the Elizabeth Files if you haven't already.
