Hello Everybody!
I've been a huge fan of everything related to Elizabeth the first the the six wives of Henry the eighth for as long as I can remember, so it is very exciting to find this website of like minded people! I've been on the mailing list for a while, and decided that it was time to finally join up! So… Hello! I went to England a while ago, (I live in the US) and visited friends in London. I had the time of my life seeing all the castles, the tower, and westminster abbey, which was super exciting. Anne of Cleves, who has a special place in my heart, is buried there and I remember indignantly moving a stack of folding chairs from in front of her grave. I read all the books I can get my hands on about the Tudors, I especially love books by Alison Weir. Anyway, just wanted to say Hi!

Is your name really Anna or did you choose the nickname in honour of Anne of Cleves?
Anyways, Anne of Cleves is also (next to Anne Boleyn) my favourite wive of Henry VIII, she must have been such a great person.

Anne of Cleves is one of my favourite wives too – how lucky you were to find her tomb in Westminster Abbey. I've been twice and wasn't able to find it. Boo!

Anne of Cleves is one of my favourite historical figures. She truly survived Henry!

Hiya Anna, I think you're going to love it here on the AB forum Anne of Cleves is my least favourite wife not because I dislike her or anything it's purely because I know very little about her so hopefully through your posts I'm going to find out about her

Hi and welcome, Anna! I too like Anne of Cleves, although I admit that our Anne Boleyn trumps every historical figure! Did you visit St. Peter Ad Vincula in the Tower? Looking forward to reading your posts!
