I became a fan of British History when I got caught up in the media coverage of Charles and Diana. I quickly read everything I could find about this new princess. Then I decided I could read about past royals and so fate had me reading Brief Gaudy Hour by Barnes and I was hooked. Anne Boleyn remains my favorite historical person. I am anxious to connect with others who share my passion for Anne Boleyn.

Welcome to our Boleyn family home, come on in, sit, down, put your feet up and enjoy the wild ride.
We are a mixed bunch of Scallywags who enjoy a good debate and sharing the odd laugh or 2 along the way.
Jump right in with any questions or opinions you may have there is always someone around to answer them.
I look forward to reading your posts.

Thank you for your kind welcome! I have been reading and posting and loving the intellectual conversations. I am so glad to have finally figured out how to join the forum. No one in my family is interested in my passion for royalty, specifically Anne Boleyn, so this is a great way for me to have an outlet for all of my questions and comments.

You aren’t on your own, where family are concerned. My old dinosaur rolls his eyes and groans whenever I mention the word history. This is where sites like this come in, we can talk the hind legs off a donkey about our favourite subject. We all have very different opinions on the peril and pitfalls of our colourful history, and I think Anne Boleyn would be tickled pink to know that even now she has so many champions who want to know more about this fascinating, couragous, forward thinking, free spirited beautiful woman.
She is my herorine I have to admit it, she sacrificed her own life to save Elizabeth, she wasn’t to know (or perhaps she did know) that Elizabeth would go on to excel her father when she became queen, but I think she would have been fiercely proud of her.
Lots of people seem to think woman’s equality started with Emmaline Pankhurst, well yes she did play a part, but it Was Anne Boleyn that planted the seed and Elizabeth had the first blooms from it.
