Hi, my name is Marivel, I have been reading everything in this site, I’m like a kid in a candy store! I have been interested in Anne Boleyn since I was in grammar/primary school. I love to read history books, and I had ordered books on famous palaces/places. One of them was about the Tower of London and the people who had been imprisoned or executed there. When I read her story, I was enthralled; she’s been a part of my life ever since. I remember my excitment when Eric Ives published his book on her. At last she had a worthy champion, I was depressed after finishing it; thinking that, that was it, that was all about her, and there was nothing else to discover. I would look up for new books on her in Amazon or the Internet, only to come up empty or the same materials. Back in the 1990’s, we had no access to the National Archives or chronologies, we had to depend on the effort of historians and trust that they were correct! This site and its sister site, The Elizabeth files, have such valuable information. They answers questons and open up new ones.
I have read just about every book on Anne, watched every movie and series, hoping to find the ‘True’ Anne. Physical and spiritual; I will never find her, she’s like quicksilver; you catch glimpses and flashes, then just as you seem to grasp her, she vanishes; leaving you behind. Wondering if you really ‘saw’ her or not. I look forward to participate in this Forum, please bear with me as I learn to post. I’ve never belonged to a forum before!

Welcome abroad Nan. We are a freindly bunch with a sence of humour. Look forward to reading your posts.
I agree about PG. We always refer to her as she who must not be named. Many is a time when I’ve wanted to throw her books out of the window. It seems to me at least, that she simply can’t be bothered to do any research on her topic/book and just fills bits in in a mst shocking and horrible way, too.

Welcome, Marivel. This is a great forum with friendly people.
I share your sentiments about Eric Ives. He is Anne’s true champion, and has significantly challenged and changed people’s understandings about Anne!
I look forward to reading your posts!
Cheers!
