Hi everyone!

My name is Kim and I’m from South Australia.

I’m a bit of a Tudor nut (you should see my bookcases!), but aren’t we all? My partner thinks I’m a bit of a loon, but I’m happy to have found a group of people as obsessed as me!

I also love Isabella of France (mother of Edward III) and Early 20th Century Russia (ie – the Romanovs and Stalinism).

I’m really excited to be here, and can’t wait to start discussing things with you all! Laugh

Hi, Kim! I’m Carolyn, and I’m reading about Isabella now and just finished reading about the Romanovs, AND I’m obsessed with the Tudors, so I think we’ll get along great! Jump in wherever, and I’m sure I’ll be there, too. Cool

Sounds like we’ll get along famously! Laugh

Which book did you just read about Isabella? I don;t think there are nearly enough written about her, so I am pretty much on an endless quest to find new ones!

It’s Queen Isabella, by Alison Weir. She takes the position Isabella didn’t have her husband murdered, because… oops, can’t tell ya!

Hi Kim,

Welcome to the forum and the site as a whole, it’s great to have you here. We’re all complete Tudor nuts here, it’s like a support group lol! I’ve never actually studied Queen Isabella, sounds like an interesting character. Smile

Hi Kim. Wecome. Isabella is one of my favorites along with Eleanore of Aquitaine, Anne, and Elizabeth.  Hope you enjoy the discussions.

Welcome, Kim! This place is fantastic for Tudor-lovers. I haven’t been on in a little while because I’ve been incredibly busy (aren’t we all? Smile) but I’m usually on way too much! I also love early 20th century Russia, especially the Romanovs, but Tudor history and Anne Boleyn/Elizabeth are my favorites. Enjoy the forum and again, welcome.

I believe I forgot to mention, Kim…I absolutely love your forum picture!! Anne of the Thousand Days is my favorite Anne movie, and Genevieve Bujold is an absolutely brilliant Anne in my opinion.

Thanks, Boleynfan! I loved Genevieve as Anne, she was fantastic. It's a toss up between her and Natalie Dormer for best Anne portrayal in my opinion!

I forgot to mention that I'm also a bit of a Roman history nerd (particularly when it comes to Sulla  and, a while down the track, Augustus) as well, and I LOVE horror movies! 🙂

Lady K – Another Aussie! Awesome! I was beginning to think I was the only one that liked Anne!! 😉

Hello, Kim.

I'm currently into WWI  so I expect to be spun off into the Romanovs sooner or later. My intereasts in history always seem to go like that.

I was in Rome back in May 1981, just after Jean-Paul II was shot so there was no papal audiences. But Rome itself is a fantastic place. I'd love to go back. And even threw some coins into the Trevi fountain just to make sure.

It's always bunnies.
