Hello, I'm Neil and history grabbed me when I was awestruck whilst watching Churchill's funeral. I love all history, but especially 16th century English history and, of course, AB. I consider myself very lucky where I live to have most of Anne's history on my doorstep. As far as computers are concerned I'm a bit rubbish, a little bit “old school”, in the style of Inspector Morse and I've never been on a Forum before. So please be patient with me and I hope to make a contribution to your debates soon.

Thanks for the welcome Bill. I've made comments on various issues on the AB files, but decided to take the plunge and join the Forum. I must admit it's only when I've heard from people so far away that I've appreciated how lucky I am to live where I do.

Yes, I know I'm very, very, lucky. On the sights to be visited on your “Discover The Tudors” tour I worked out that over two thirds of the venues are no more than a couple of hours drive away from me! Thanks for your welcome, I hope to continue making some informed (I like to think) contributions to your wonderfull sites for some time to come.

How lucky you are to live in Kent – I was lucky enough to visit there when I was 10, didn't make it to Hever unfortunately, but it's a lovely part of England. One of these days though I'm going to make it to Hever

Welcome Neil, I'm fairly new myself.
Kent, a beautiful part of the country, I've spent many holidays there and loved every minute in fact my husband and I chose to celebrate our first wedding anniversary at Penshurst…..very beautiful 
I hope you will enjoy the forum as much as I do.
