Greetings from Northern California!
My name is Cheryl and I just recently became aware of The Anne Boleyn Files and it has very quickly became my new obsession! You’ll have to forgive me for not owning up to how much time I have spent over the last several weeks reading past posts and comments. …it is bad enough that I have spent such an inordinate amount of time pilfering through the content but now my 15 yr old daughter has followed in my foot steps! J
Claire, what you have done here is truly remarkable and something you should be ever so proud of. Your succinct and balanced analysis is both appreciated , respected and enjoyed more than I will ever be able to adequately or justly express.
And to my fellow posters, may I just say thank you for all your thought provoking and intelligent responses. The way you purport your responses to each other when you disagree on a point brings, not only to yourselves but too this site, a degree of grace we seem to lack in modern discourse. I rejoice in the knowledge that my daughter has enjoyed reading and discussing the topics and responses found here by such smart and passionate women. I can say unequivocally that she is learning something from you all…. whether it be the importance of checking sources or writing a logical argument etc, and for that I will be forever grateful and in your debt!
Claire, I hope you know this most assuredly applies to you most of all…..
Looking forward to many posts and discussions!

Greetings, Cheryl Anne! We're so glad to have you!
I think we all love this place as much as you do for the same reasons you just said. It's nice to come to a place where people can disagree without berating each other. Sometimes people get behind a computer screen and lose all their manners. Then they throw up the “It's just a message board–why are you getting so upset?” defense when other people are hurt or angry about some of the things they've said. It's important that people learn to effectively disagree with others without challenging their intelligence, morals, or abilities and I'm glad that your daughter is able to learn that from us 😀

Cheryl Anne, apologies for not noticing your post sooner and thank you so much for your lovely post, it brought a tear to my eye and really encouraged me. It is so wonderful to hear that you and your daughter enjoy the site so much. I am very passionate about Anne Boleyn's story and Tudor history and I'm so glad that that shines through in my articles and that your daughter is learning from the research that I am doing. Thank you so much for letting me know and for encouraging me. It's funny to think that when I wrote my first article just over 2 years ago that I was writing it just for myself, I had no visitors, and yet now The Anne Boleyn Files is a community of lovely, friendly people who love nothing better than discussing this 16th century woman's story. I count my blessings every day as I feel that I have friends all over the world!
Loads of love to you and your daughter
