Hi Everyone!
I'm Liz, I'm a junior at West Chester University studying Religious Studies and European History. Like everyone else here I'm a pretty big Tudor fan. I've been interested in them since David Starkey's “The Six Wives of Henry VIII” came on BBC or PBS – it came on after my bedtime (I was probably in elementary or early middle school) and I caught about 5 minutes of the Catherine of Aragon episode before my mom ushered me to bed. Naturally, my interest was spiked by the few minutes I saw and it hasn't waned.
Not to say that this is the only thing I'm interested in. I'm big into music – I play the clarinet in my university's marching and concert bands. I listen to all kinds of music, there are few genres that I don't listen to. I love to read – I work at a bookstore during the summer and winter breaks. I love old movies – and more recent movies, of course! – but I'm terrible at remembering actors/actresses. I love to laugh and joke around.
Hm…I'm pretty bad at this whole describing me thing but I think that does me some decent justice. I'd love to get to know some of you!

Hi Liz,
Welcome and enjoy.
I also first discovered Tudor history through David Starkey's 6 wives series. It's a great series that I still watch from time to time.
What is life like in Pennsylvania? I've never been.
Hope to see you on here lots.

How long have you been into the Tudors then? (The actual Tudors I mean, not the prog)
Pretty much since 5th/6th grade. I read so many of the fiction stories about the Tudors like Beware, Princess Elizabeth, moved on to Jean Plaidy and then discovered the allure of Alison Weir. I want to get more into Church History and Reformation Studies in Graduate School and Henry and Anne were at the forefront of that in England so I at least can justify it through my school work! I did get into the program this year – I was a little nervous because TV has a tendency to change too much but I do enjoy them haha.

Pennsylvania is pretty nice. Its got pretty mild weather – so we have pretty nice, warm summers and cold – sometimes snowy – winters. I'm close to Philadelphia so there's a lot to do in the suburbs. I haven't spent too much time on the opposite side of the state. The town I live in is pretty small but its nice. I go to college in a bigger town, closer to Delaware so there's more to do.
Hi Liz,
Welcome to the Anne Boleyn Files, it's great to “meet” you. David Starkey is wonderful, have you managed to see his series “Henry VIII: Mind of a Tyrant”? There are clips on YouTube and it's well worth watching. I'm really looking forward to his next book coming out, his follow-up to Virtuous Prince, you can always trust what Starkey says.
I hope your course is going well
