I have always been interested in British history and I collect books on the Kings and Queens of Britain. Although the House of Tudor was not particularly long-ruling as royal houses go, it certainly wasn’t boring!

Welcome to our Boleyn Family home, come in, sit down, put your feet up and enjoy the wild ride. We are a mixed bag of scallywags, who enjoy a good debate and sharing the odd laugh or 2 along the way, I look forward to reading your posts.

Tudor History is a very turbulant time in British History, but all of our history is a rollercoaster of a ride really. The Wars of the Roses was terrible enough, then there’s the Anglo/France wars that had been raging for hundreds of years. The Anglo/Scots wars, they were a real bloody affair, and not just from the English side of things either, The English easily sorted out the Scottish Armies and sent them packing (except Bannockburn which is the only time Scotland defeated the English armies due to a very weak English King. Edward 2nd) Then there is the Anglo/Welsh skirmishes, not really settled until the birth of Edward 2nd, and Edward was invested as Prince of Wales in Cararfon Castle, which was then the Home of the Weish kings at that time. Ludlow Castle being generally accepted for the Princes of Wales to learn the art of King craft from.
We really do have a very chequered and colourful past in one form or other. You will learn a lot here from some of the most intelligent minds I have had the honour of getting to know, as well as making a lot of freinds from all walks of life.
Some of us have also been given the courage to put pen to paper (or should that be words onto a screen) and take up the challenge of writing a book or 2. One of our members has recently had her book published, too. And as you know our benefactress Claire Ridgeway is a published Author herself.
