I've been sort of lurking around on here for a few months now, so I thought it was time to actually join. You guys all seem awesome. 🙂
Anyway, my name is Sam, I'm twenty-one years old and currently majoring in English at the University of Utah (though I spent my first nineteen years in New York). Ever since I was a kid I've loved two things: writing and history. I was sort of raised on the history channel, haha, and my two favorite things to write are historical fiction and modern fantasy.
Though I've always been obsessed with court and the royal proceedings of England and France (I've got six years of French under my belt!), not to mention the brilliance of Renaissance writers, my obsession with the Tudors, and particularly Anne and Elizabeth has been a more recent development. I'll admit I've watched just about anything Tudor related (despite how historically inaccurate they might be. In fact, I have a habit of looking up the facts on them to find out which parts are true and which they made up for ratings).
One day, I hope to write a historically accurate Tudor-era novel, and maybe you guys can help make sure I get my facts straight. 😀

Hi Sam,
Welcome to the forum! I'm so glad that you decide not to lurk anymore as it sounds like you have so much knowledge to share. I love meeting you new Tudor history fans and it's so good to talk history without seeing people's eyes glaze over!
I hope you do write your book, it would be great to read a novel that's been well researched and one that's true to the era and the people.
Anyway, welcome to the AB Files!
