Hello fellow Tudor lovers! I'm Andrea and I'm an American (originally from sunny Florida) living in London with my English husband. In my spare time, I volunteer for Historic Royal Palaces because I love history so much. I've been a big fan of The Anne Boleyn Files for over a year now (and have bought many items of jewellery on it!) but I've only just got myself registered for the forums. I'm looking forward to participating in this great community and to making your acquaintance.
I hope you are all having a good week.
Best wishes,
Andrea

Hi Andrea and welcome. You are so lucky to be living in London; you are living my dream!
It must be awesome to volunteer at the Historic Royal Palaces. I love visiting Tower of London and Hampton Court Palace when I visit England. They are such great places.
I hope you enjoy the AB files as much as I do. It's a great place. I look forward to reading your posts.
Best!

Thanks, everyone for the warm welcome! Please don't be envious of me living in London – it's one thing to visit the amazing historical sites, and that's great – but it's a whole other thing to live here – crowded, lots of not really nice people (as is generally the case in cities), and it's not the way I imagined it would be when I dreamed about living here when I was growing up (you know, reading Jane Austen, Shakespeare, etc). I would love to move out to the countryside someday.
thanks again for the greetings! 🙂

Hi Andrea good to see you on here…..and to think we have an “insider” from the Palaces (I smell discounts lol)
Hope you enjoy this forum as much as we do. Look forward to seeing your posts.
Hi there! Yep, they're kind enough to give me a nice discount- which I use frequently in the gift shops! Plus, the people I work with are absolutely great – it's also nice to meet people from around the world who are interested in history!

I'm definitely a country girl, I hate going on the tube in London, it just freaks me out because there are far too many people and everyone is in a rush. My husband always thinks I'm really funny but I'm used to big open spaces.
Anyway, welcome, Andrea, it's nice to see you on the forum x
