I'm a bit excited to announce that I am coming home to the UK- Lincoln- in Feb '12. Six weeks from now!
I have to keep reminding myself to breath as coming home is what I have wanted to do since leaving as a nine yr old. Im paying rent up front for 6 months and hoping that I can find a job in the tourism industry- nothing flash, just front desk, in that time- what do you think? I am hard working, attractive, fit, friendly- do you think I'll make it? The worst thing I can think of is returning defeated to Aus. Not to dismiss Aus- it's just not the place for me… I would love your thoughts on this.. I guess I need a bit of reassurance!

E,
You are very brave! With your fiesty attitude, your spunk and especially your love of England, I think you will be very successful. On the slight chance, and I mean the very slightest chance, that you do not make it, at least you will have seen your beloved England again. That in itself will be a success for you. Go for it, and the best of luck to you!

E,
Just do it! Take the chance and see what happens. I know it can be a daunting task. I am in the middle of making some life choices, one of which may involve moving abroad. Pack your bags, get on the plane, and perservere. Simply by trying, you are showing your dedication to try something different.
Best of luck with your endeavours! Keep us all posted!

Nice to meet you Alexandra! I suffer from the most terrible homesickness- it is truly a trial to live in a place where your heart is not. I hope you will one day follow your dreams and get to live in England- thank you for your kindness, I wish you luck too and am sure that one day you will never have to leave England again- unless of course you wish too!
