The BBC is to screen a television adaption of Philippa Gregory's best-selling novels set during the War Of The Roses.
Ben Stephenson, the BBC's controller of drama commissioning said the programme would be a “big, fat, old soap opera”.

Assuming they decide to stick with the source material, at least what PG has written can’t be mistaken for truth since there is too much influence from ‘supernatural’ aspects to be believable as actually happening. If that makes sense.
Good point! I think this is why I liked these PG books the most…because from the beginning they were clearly fictional

Ohhh man! Welp, I guess I better hit up the stores…
List of thing you need while watching something by Phillipa Gregory:
1. Duck tape so you don't scream at the TV and scare neighbors.
2. Helment so you don't hurt yourself when hitting your head against the wall or table.
3. Straight jacket to keep you from clawing at your face.
4. One of those things you put in your mouth so you don't bite your tongue off while screaming.
5. Punch proof walls just in case you escape the straight jacket.
6. Lastly, have workers at an insane asylum keep the padded rooms free anytime just in case.

Me too, although it’ll probably make me cross! If nothing else, it had better have nice costumes lol.
I agree, Beth. I doubt it will air in Canada, but if it did, the costumes and set designs better be spectacular. Although, I won't hold my breath on that!
Didn't BBC produce PG's TOBG? The acting, costumes, and storyline were horrendous (the little bit I saw on youtube).

It might on BBC Canada . I have a lot of US channels on my satellite package so one fo those is bound to show it.
Yup. The Beeb did the first version of TOBG ( 750,000 UKpound budget in 2003).

The BBC version of TOBG was absolutely awful!!!
I completely agree, I got it just because and I thought it was a joke at first but then it sunk in that it was actually the real thing. The only thing kind of good about it is that it stayed close to the book unlike the hollywood version which was alot different and usually people complain about movies not staying close to the books.
