It's a book called The Tudor Chronicles by Susan Doran. It cronicles the entire Tudor period from beginning to end. It has all the good portraits, and gives a detailed account of each monarch's reign. It should be a good read and a great source of reference.
I also got a novel called Agincourt by Bernard Cornwell which I am also anxious to read.
When the legend becomes fact, print the legend.

I've seen that in stores; it's really huge and heavy and expensive! You lucky, lucky thing! I got the first three books in the Matthew Shardlake series by C J Sansom. I'm looking forward to starting them over the holidays; what could be better than murder/mysteries set during Henry's reign?!
Some of those are in my lost order….sobs in beer!

It arrived today. I paid $40 cnd including P&P and taxes.
I haven't done much more than flip through it because of all the pictures. It looks like it devotes a couple of pages to the significant events of each calender year from 1485 to 1603.
It's going to have to wait for a day or two before I get round to reading it though…

Sounds good. I'll have a look around my local 'The Works' and see if I can find it! I got 'The Sisters who would be Queen' for £2 in one of those bargain book places, drfinately worth looking round them!

I just placed my order for Susan Doran's Tudor Chronicles…I look forward to reading it while listening to Motets from a Royal Choirbook which I also purchased (I adore the music made during this period).
Must look out for that. I haven't much in the way of early music.
