Personally, i've never even heard of the book but I did take the time to look it up and read many reviews.
In the reviews it states that alot of rumors from their reigns were used as pure fact in the book and that the pages 'were filled with scandal after scandal'. And from the same review: 'Elizabeth was portrayed as man-hungry and slept with practically everyone;Mary was a silly immature girl who was happy to betray her country to sleep with her new husband' Which is completely way off! Then the review ended with 'Purdy took it way too far'.
I don't like when authors use all the lies in the book to make an 'interesting' read…cough cough…phillipa…cough…. gregory….cough. (must be coming down with a cold). I probably will find the book either in a store or on my E-Reader and read it and have my own opinion but based on the reviews i've read it seems like another tall tale book.
Hope I helped a little…..

Purdy also wrote a book about Jane Rochford in which Catherine Howard and Anne of Cleves have a very graphic lesbian relationship involving a pot of honey. It's enough to put you off honey for life!
Seriously? Perhaps there's a reason why her book was in the charity shop in the first place!

uggg!
that's starting to be the new rumour then, AoC/KH…I read Lies and Lust in the Tudor Court where Anne tries to proposition KH…
I guess putting a lesbian twist on things is the latest new thing. I'm all for live and let live, but these are historical figures and there is no evidence!!
