For those of you who are fans of The Tudors, the promo trailer for the finale season was posted today, on the Facebook page. It premieres on April 11th. Here it is on YouTube:
YouTube – Final Season Tease: The Tudors
I wish the show didn't have the tendency to smash all of the sexed-up moments in the promos, rather than more substance, but I guess that's what draws viewers. 🙂
What is most curious to me, is that in two quick frames, you see a woman who looks much like Anne Boleyn (well, Natalie Dormer in this case). I thought I was crazy, but several other people on FB commented on this. I wonder if they are using her image or \”ghost\” as a foreshadowing of what happens to her cousin Katherine Howard? I'm very intrigued.

Hi Emma
Thanks for the heads up! Kinda disappointed in the trailer – you're right about too many sexed-up moments, but I guess that's the only angle the makers were going for with Katherine Howards character, after all she was portrayed as little more than a teenage prostitute last season. Having said that, it certainly looks good…!
Only managed to glimpse what may have been Anne Boleyn once, so maybe I'll have to watch it again! Living in New Zealand means we probably won't get the new season until September so the trailer may be the most I can see until then!

Looks pretty good I guess. It's dificult to judge from a trailer that only goes for a minute.
I can't believe this is the last season!! I wish, instead of just about Henry VIII, they would have stretched it from his father down to Elizabeth. It is, afterall, called 'The Tudors' not simply 'Henry VIII' which probably would have made more sense but anyways…

They rushed through so much stuff for this show-glossed over a lot.
Speaking of Anne Boleyn did it bother anyone else that her eyes weren't BROWN? I think Natalie is a good actress and she did a great job playing that part, but everytime I watch an episode with her in it I always get a little annoyed that her eyes aren't brown. Am I the only one?
I agree The Tudors should end with Elizabeth not the end of Henry the VIII's wives.

Thanks, Claire! That thrills me to no end that she will be \”back\”, in that way. I surely hope it is Henry who dreams of her. Even if all mentions and memories of Anne were silenced, in reality; the character has such a huge influence on the entire series and it is fitting they remember her as it ends.

I don't get Showtime and I have dial-up internet. 🙁 I usually rely on a friend who hooks me up with episodes.

It annoyed me at first because I've read passages about Anne and I always remebered the constant mention of her brown eyes. I agree with Emma though, Natalie's performance made up for it. Then again, I believe Nat's natural hair colour is blonde? So if they went to the trouble of dying her hair, why didn't she wear contacts or something as well???
