Actually, I think Bujold and Nina Dobrev have slightly similar facial structures–both are petite, although Dobrev's also looks very young. But I see what you're saying about a 'younger Anne.' And I totally agree on Keira, although I have to admit that I just see her standing there doing Anne's execution scene…Also, you mentioned Helena Bonham Carter, and I think a younger her wouldn't be all that bad for Anne. Wait–just kidding, she's already played Anne, and Lady Jane Grey…okay, bad memory, now I've got to re-watch my Tudor movies…

I haven't realize it but you are right! They do have similar looks!Maybe that's why Nina struck me as a potential Anne!As for Helena Bonham Carter, she really had and still has that powerfull aura to make Anne justice, but really,no matter how good she was,her part in Henry VIII left me cold. The whole movie had something that didn't make warm me up to it(apart of some very good fictional scenes)but overall it wasn't bad.But Helena's Anne was a tad worse than Portman's (they share a few similar script failures,no matter their good acting and intentions).Keira I can see her doing it too,and she does look the part but something tells me that it wouldn't be a good move, the same way it was with Portman(mind you,Natalie is my favorite actress and for me 'till now, visually and look-wise the perfect Anne).

Although The Other Boleyn Girl's story line was atrocious because of its unfairness about Anne's character, I actually though Natalie Portman is the perfect look for Anne and did a great job. I've now watched Nina Dobrev more on TV and I understand what you're saying, Anne, but I still think she's too young looking. Keira Knightley with dark hair does come to mind, Sophie, but I understand your hesitation Anne. Helena Bonham Carter's Anne fell flat, in my opinion, in Henry VIII's Six Wives show. I actually did not like the entire film very much.

Every woman has the right to change her mind, correct? Well, I said that Keira Knightley would be a good choice for Anne. However, after watching The Pillars of the Earth, I've changed my mind.
A relatively new actress, Hayley Atwell plays Aliena: a strong-willed and wronged woman trying to find her way in the early middle ages. She a lovley long brown hair and brown eyes. She a certain Anne quality about her.
Hayley has also acted in Brideshead Revisited (the movie version), Cassandra's Dream, and Any Human Heart.

ahhh This a tougie since i can nver imagine a single person to embody Anne to perfection but i love how each actress brings out a piece of Anne. I absolutly love the idea of Marion Cotillard, she has that graceful elegant…french air to her that reminds me of Anne and her looks minus the color of her eyes(but hey Natalie dormer had blue eyes and i loved them:p) r very Anne-y. It would be soo great to see Nat D. replay Anne since i LOVE her and have a tiny girl crush on her lol. she always can evoke powerful emotions through me as she plays anne. This might be alittle too out there but i think Christina Ricci would have been a good young Anne, her eyes r very mesmorizing and shes always up for a challenge in roles. I think it would be cool to see her try to be Anne. another actress i would be curious seeing play Anne is Sophia Bush, she isnt as famous other stars but shes has a mischeious way about her and can play independent roles while bringing out vunlebility well those r my only thoughts at the moment lol im sure ill be complating for a couple of days now x)

LissaMarie–I think that Christina Ricci actually might be a pretty good choice for Anne.
However, I think my first choice would be Eva Greene. I think she's certainly got an “Anne” look about her, but I've never seen her play “passion” before so I'm not sure how she would do in that arena.

Emily Blunt anyone?
Actually, now that I think about it, I think Emily Blunt would play a better Elizabeth I. But then she runs the risk of being type-cast–you know, Queen Victoria and then Elizabeth…
But I just love her…she was fantastic in The Devil Wears Prada and I've loved her ever since.

I haven't thought about her till now,but the more I think about it,the more I find Emily Blunt to make a good Anne! And although she has light blue eyes,I think it doesn't matter much, afterall Anyanka, you are right, coloring can be added!!!My top choice remains Marion Cotillard, who has similar face structure with the Anne we know through portraits and of course has the acting range to give a great performance as Anne!Christina Riccie looks a lot in my opinion with Anne and she would make a good Anne but for some reason, everytime I see her in Sleepy Hollows,I think that she would be a very good Jane too!!!She has a mysterious aura about her,a calm demeanor that makes me see her a great Jane!Hayley Atwell is also a very good choice on Anne,I have seen her in some videos and she has an “Anne” quality…

I think you have (for me)the best choice!I haven't thought much of Eva Green as Anne because usually I look for actresses with dark eyes….But after that foto,I just said “Anne!”…Plus she is a good actress and french I believe 9correct me if I 'm wrong) so she would bring out Anne's french culture…Although it is not her best foto, the hair just transforms her to what I beleive Anne looked like!!!!!

Leighton Meester!

I think Leighton Meester would be WONDERFUL as Anne. She's got a dark side but is strong and looks GREAT for the role. I totally agree that she's not a knock out at first glance but her attitude is what's attractive, and that's perfect for Anne. I also think her skill as an actress is great as well, and as far as I know she's never had to do another accent, but I'm sure she could pull of a British accent believably.
She also kind of reminds me of a younger Natalie Dormer. If i'm completely honest with myself, Natalie Dormer was WAY too gorgeous to play Anne but had everything else down pat, and I loved her portrayal. Of course, no one will ever be as wonderful as the Great Genevieve Bujold.
I agree that Rose Byrne would be lovely as well.

I think Emily Blunt could do Anne really well too
Actually, Elizabeth Taylor would've been an amazing Anne…. with Richard Burton as Henry, of course
I've always wished that Elizabeth Taylor could have played Anne in a film. She had that “Anne Boleyn Quality” about her. Yes, Richard Burton should have been her Henry.
Didn't Ms. Taylor have a cameo in Anne of the Thousand Days? I've seen the film, but could be imaging it.
