Hi everyone.
I'm just writing a novel. It's alternate history and is about a female-dominated monarchy in 16th Century.
Just curious if anyone would find anything like that interesting…
Also, I'm twelve and although the quality of the writing isn't that good, does anyone think that it's a good idea at least?
I've written just over 75000 words so far and have been writing it for about 4 months now. And I think even if I did go to a publisher they wouldn't take me seriously!
Any replies would be much appreciated.

bethany.x,
You are never too young to follow your passion and accomplish something. Writing a novel is a great idea. What a wonderful imagination you must have! Without even knowing a lot about your topic, I am fascinated, and I would love to learn more about it.
When I was your age, I started a story about a fictional female queen in Scotland, and never finished it, which I regret as an adult. Any reason for one to love to write, improve your skills, and create an intersting story is wonderful. Someday you may be a famous writer, and I can say I remember when you wrote your first novel.
If you ever need help with anything, let me know. Please keep me updated on your progress and best of luck. I look forward to someday reading the finished product.

I've read a few of the Harry Turtledove books. His alt history books are intereasting. If you haven't read any of them, they are worth a look at.
When you are ready to be published, there are several resources out there, though I can't think of the names ATM…
Good luck and enjoy yourself.

Thank you so much for the replies!
I'll keep you posted, DuchessofBrittany! Thanks for the support. Interesting that you wrote about a Scottish Queen, how much did you write? I think that writing is such a great way of getting away from reality, so enjoyable to have some spare time just to sit behind a keyboard and letting words flow.
Anyanka, I've got the Writers' and Artists' Yearbook from a few years ago, it's very helpful but so big! Thanks, I'll have a look at Harry
Turtledove. I've never actually read an alternate history book, infact this wasn't even supposed to be one! The idea just came into my mind so I thought I'd jot it down, then a load of plot just came from there!
Thank you again

I've been obsessed with the Tudors since I was seven, I remember going to the Tower and finishing questions for the beefeaters! And at Hampton Court I was talking with all of the guides and the used to warn each other when I was coming!
