OK, I'll admit it…
I love Star Wars as well! Those movies seem to have been part of my life since i can remember. I totally blame my older brother for that one!
I love reading too, and I'm with you Sabrina – I liked Twilight! The first book I really enjoyed, though I have to say the series went down hill from there…
Other loves/obsessions include: anything historical (aside from Tudor England my favourite period would be Renaissance Italy), Alice in Wonderland, Tintin and the Simpsons
Reading – love the Twilight series and the Sookie Stackhouse books (which Gina from here got me into), but also love crime and thrillers (Patricia Cornwell, Elizabeth George, Inspector Morse…) and classics – love D H Lawrence, Jane Austen and George Elliot. I'm also a big fan of Harry Potter, the books and movies.

I love Star Wars, too. Just watched all of them a few weeks ago. I also loved “Firefly.” I was so disappointed when that was cancelled. But I have the series on DVD, and watch them all the time. Another show I loved was “Moonlight.” Of course that was also cancelled. I,m also a Star Trek fan. The new movie was excellent.
I read anything I can get my hands on about the Kings and Queens of Britain. The first book I read which started me down this path was “Forever Amber,” by, Kathleen Winsor. I was 16 and fell in love with Charles II. That is when I started looking things up to see if he really was The Merry Monarch. And he was. I was hooked. When I read about one monarch, I have to know where did this guy or gal came from. Which leads me to their parents or their brothers and sister etc. Obsessed.
Last but not least, one of my greatest passions is our Native American History. We could all learn a few things from the way they lived and loved.

What's “Firefly?”
“Firefly” was a tv series starring Nathan Fillion. It is science fiction. It takes place 500 years into the future and there is a whole new frontier and this crew of the Firefly-class spaceship, “Serenity” want to get in on the action. They take on these jobs whether they are legal or illegal just to have enough money for fuel, parts, and food on the table. When they take on a passenger who is wanted by the Alliance regime, they find themselves on the run. It was funny and dramatic. Nathan Fillion was fantastic as the Captain. Gina Torres was in it, That's the only other name coming to me right now.
The movie came out after the show was cancelled and tied up some loose ends. The name of the Movie was “Serenity.”
Anyway it was a very entertaining show and I really do miss it.

One of my other 'obsessions' is JTR (Whitechapel Murders) I spend a lot of time on that, researching etc. I have a theory (doesn't everyone) which takes up a fair bit of my time right now.
I actually have a lot of 'obsessions' now I come to think of it. Hmmmmmmmm

Well I love history and anything investigative….so here is my obsessions….
Shipwrecks – particularly Titanic and anything found by Robert Ballard
Air disasters – Big and small including airships
Serial Killers – Too many to mention but how they are caught is fascinating.
History in general – Tudor stuff, archaeology, Egypt, Battles etc
Other disasters – not so much the natural ones as there is nothing to investigate….but major fires, building collapses, terrorist attacks etc.
Writing books – Written “The Great Gale” – Story about a storm that sank 28 ships in a few hours off Bridlington (lots of heroes)
Currently just about to finish a book written on the 1986 Lockington train crash. Raising money and stuff to get a memorial put up for the 9 who died. Backed by all the survivors and relatives too so it cant be a bad thing!
Next book is going to be on a plane crash near Harrogate West Yorkshire in 1995.
Bit morbid you maythink but at least I put it all to good use and write books on them instead of hoarding it all.
Oh you are my kind of man!! I love all that morbid stuff too.
Fantastic that you are writing books too.

I was a massive Star wars nerd when I was a kid, the feeling has faded a little, but I still know three times as much about Star Wars as my boyfriend. 😉
I'm completely in love with Ava Gardner. She was fantastic. I'm still waiting on a book about her to arrive on my doorstep any day now! That'll take my attention away from Tudor England for a while. I love Roman history too.
But my biggest, and by far most worrying, obsession is “The Chronicles of Narnia”. Don't even get me started!
