I have been clearing out under the stairs – I know I should have just left it, the things that are in there!!! anyway I have started so I will finish but I have found a bag of bulbs, probably daffs but I honestly cant remember. I know it is not the right time to be planting bulbs yet but I wondered if they go ‘off’ or could I plant these later on? I honestly don’t know how old they are but would it be a waste of time to plant them?
Advice from someone who knows about flowers and stuff gratefully received.
PS Douglas seems happy enough today and has scabs forming nicely on his wounds.

I don’t know if bulbs go ‘off’ but if they’ve been kept dry and don’t have any mould or anything on them they should be okay. Plant them out when it’s the right time in well drained soil, put some bulb food (which you can get from a garden centre) around them and see what happens come spring. You don’t have anything to lose! Daffodils are my favourite flower and at the moment I’ve got lots of gorgeous miniature ones in flower in the garden
Sorry to hear about Douglas; a really horrible thing to happen. Glad to hear though that hes feeling a bit better today. Love the avatar of him – he’s a real cutie
