Hey everyone!
So I'm doing a report on the English Parliamentary System and comparing it with the U.S. Federal government. I'm trying to do this as thoroughly as I can so I was wondering if anyone here who lived/has lived in England could answer these questions/provide some sources for these questions I had while researching. I'm getting lots of general information, but I'm mainly trying to find out what the Parliamentary System is like from the eyes of a citizen in England.
1. What are the disadvantages/advantages of the Parliamentary system?
(coming from you as an individual. From what I understand, Britain's national government has supreme power over the local divisions.
.but then again I don't know much about this lol). 2. How do political parties play their role in politics? (I know here in America we have stuff like negative campaigning,
lobbying, etc. Anything like that in England?)
If anyone can help out, thanks!

Samus, I live in England, but if I start to write about our Parliamentary System I could be here a long time! Try the following link which should help (if I get it to work!).
http://www.direct.gov.uk/…/G…..government
Sorry, but whatever variation I use it just goes to directgov error. However if you explore the directgov site I'm sure you will gain much information regarding the powers of local authorities outside of central government.
