There are many historical figures I admire so it is difficult to have a favourite.
Anne. B obvisously, as she’s my heroine. A woman of tremendious, courage and bravery who stood up to and king and told him straight, that she was not going to be used by him. She also gave her own life freely to save Elizabeth.
Elizabeth, who basically told the rest of the world where to go and didn’t just reign England she ruled it as well. Not many people could say they had defeated the Spanish, least of all a woman. She returned order to the choas, that had been both Edward’s and Mary’s disastous reigns. When she died she was deeply mourned.
Charles Dickens. The best writer Britain ever had.
Robert Louis Stephenson. Modernised the whole way people travelled.
Charles Babbage who created the words first Difference engine, which over time developed into the modern computer.
Martin Luther King, who stood up for what he believed in, against the whole of America.
That is to name but a few, butt each of us have our heroes and villians.
Semper Fidelis, quod sum quod
