Just wondering what everyone's favourite Christmas movie/TV special was!
Mine is 'A Christmas Story'. Cracks me up every time Also the Peanuts/Charlie Brown/Snoopy Christmas episodes are a perennial favourite in my house.
Incidentally, I've just checked the TV listings for next month and 'A Christmas Story' is on at the same time as 'Anne of the Thousand Days'. But seeing as I have that on DVD I guess i'll let the family off the hook… (this year anyway!)

I hate to admit one of my favourite Christmas movies is Home Alone. It brings back memories of my childhood, when Christmas still held that child-like sense of wonder.
But I recently watched Love Actually, which I thought was cute and heartwarming. Best of all: it is set in London, and I am a sucker for British films. Of course, the sexy Liam Neeson was in it, so I had no reason to complain!

A Christmas Story is, hands-down, the best Christmas movie ever made. Reminds me of some of my husband's relatives. I could watch the part with the leg lamp over and over again.
However, I caught Love Actually recently, too, and it is on my short list of DVDs to buy because I just love it. That movie made me go out and buy Mariah Carey's “All I Want for Christmas is You” off of iTunes (extra festive version), and I am no huge fan of Mariah Carey. Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, even Hugh Grant–throw in Liam Neeson and you've got yourself a winner. Movies like that always make me miss my visits to London. I'm still trying to convince my husband to retire to London in, like, 30 years.

“Ernest Saves Christmas”!
Every year since I was 3 I have watched it…. that's 21 years now! It's probably not really that great, but I have such huge sentimental value attached to it that it'll never get old. 🙂
'Ernest Saves Christmas'! Heh, now that's a classic!
Didn't think much of 'Love Actually' when I first saw it, maybe I should watch it again And you're right Wreckmaster, 'About A Boy' is a brilliant movie (strange for a Hugh Grant film!) and it does have that Christmas scene in it so surely it counts!
Another movie I like is 'Scrooged' with Bill Murray.
