Just wanted to wish everyone here a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 
So what's everyone doing for Christmas? Anyone going away anywhere exciting?
My brothers are staying at my place this year (eep!) so have been working like a mad thing this past week to get the house Christmas-ready. On top of working in retail – horrible time of year to be doing that! Christmas day will be pretty casual for us – lots of sun (hopefully!) trip to the beach and BBQ with friends.

I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday, and you are surrounded by the love of friends and family.
Christmas will be the same as usual here: my maternal grandparents come to my Mum and Dad's house. It is tradition now.
It looks like (I am keeping my fingers crossed) it could be a white Christmas, something we've not had in several years.

It will just be the 5 of us again. Though I think DD1 might be away for a couple of nights with a friend.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone here! 
Christmas Eve we will have our traditional, slovak Holy Supper at my son's home. My brother will be joining us with his wife and two children. Our menu consists of pieroghi's, fish, potatoes, veggies, rice and a slovak gravy called machonka (sp). It is a mushroom gravy. Notice all the starch? Yessirree! I pore the gravy on everything. Desert is Buchta. That is dough with apricot, leqvar, or a nut filling.
Christmas Day we go to my husband's sister's home where we have turkey and all the fixings. Lots of babies there. I am so looking forward to this weekend!
It's warm here and no snow predicted. Except for an inch or so at Halloween, we haven't had any snow this year. I miss it!

It's hard to believe it's Christmas. I live in North Carolina, and the past few days it's been in the 60s. Christmas isn't supposed to be so warm! Tomorrow I'll spend with my fiance's family, and Sunday we'll spend with my family. I've been told I'm getting lots of gift certificates for the book store, so that should be nice, also 🙂

^ Christmas is always supposed to be warm where I am, LOL! Except this year it wasn’t all that sunny, so didn’t go to the beach…
I got the Game of Thrones books (or at least I will when they’re delivered!) – I’ve seen the TV show but has anyone here read the books? And I got vouchers for Amazon.uk (yay!)
