Well my parents have decided (with a little persuasion from myself ) to get another puppy, and next saturday I am going with them to put a deposit on a beautiful little black Scottish Terrier
As it will be the 19th of May, Anne Boleyn Day! I’ve decided it would be lovely to have his name in some way related to a Tudor Figure (unfortunately I can’t call him Anne lol) Has anyone got any ideas?
He’s only five weeks old and we can’t take him home until his 8 weeks so I have some time to think about his name

Wolsey, Cramner, or Cromwell. Mya Elise’s suggestion is a good one too. Hal, it’s short, sweet and to the point.

When we get our two cats (We are waiting till our daughter is a little older and less likely to terrorise them) we are going to call one Boleyn and the other Urien
"It is however but Justice, & my Duty to declre that this amiable Woman was entirely innocent of the Crimes with which she was accused, of which her Beauty, her Elegance, & her Sprightliness were sufficient proofs..." Jane Austen.
Thanks for your suggestions everyone… George is a lovely name for a Scottie actually, and Rochford works too. I like Tudor but I think it would suit a bigger dog such as a German Shepard rather than a terrier.
Here are what my family and I came up with so far;
Dudley, after Sir Robert Dudley (after Anne’s time I know)
Douglas: like Lady Margaret Douglas
Brandon: Charles Brandon
Howard: After the Howard family

I am loving reading all these, the ones your family and everyone elses has come up with so far are great, how about another one Sussex, for Lord Sussex or Buckingham, (shame they both lost their heads though)

So I went to see the little guy today and we’ve decided to call him Douglas
When we get the paperwork through with his Kennel Club registration I will probably fill in the form to change his registered name; he is going to be either Trakside (kennel name) Douglas Boleyn or Lord Rochford (i’ve got to decide what will sound better in the show-ring )
He is so cute!!!
Has anyone else on here got any pets named after famous Tudors? or historical figures?
