I was looking at a photo my partner had posted on Facebook of the resident Macaw at the pet shop named George (who is a lovely bird) I told him that was a beautiful picture of George.
“George…” he looks at me blankly “George Boleyn?”
“George the Macaw” I tell him, nonplussed
“Oh when you say George it’s usually something about George Boleyn” he tells me.

Embarassed

This did make me laugh, Olga. In our house we designate time periods to PG or BG i.e. whether an event happened post-George or before-George. I’ve even got my partner at it. How sad’s that?!!

I keep referring to Natalie Dormer in Game of Thrones as Anne Boleyn. I think I’m starting to alienate people…

I was in court a while ago and there was another case going on involving a child named Amber-Lynne. In made me look up every time I heard the child’s name being said. Try saying it quickly.
Olga, I’ve never thought of George as a parrot!Confused

Anyanka, thank God you commented about the p*rn star Amber Lynn, i was trying to figure out how to say it without sounding naughty lol my mums name is Gay Anne, like Anne the most happy, i think my grandma had a sense of humour, my older aunties name is Mary Magdalene! My great granny was Edith, and named my grandma Louvain, as in Edith of Louvain, such interesting names and I get Natasha?? Apparently because my mum loved Rocky and Bullwinkle when she was a kid, not because my dads russain!

Well that depends on what you think of parrots Louise. As a bird lover I think they’re majestic (and also the most expensive!) so it’s a compliment. But there already is a parrot named George I suppose Laugh My partner is besotted by him. As macaws cost about 10-15 thousand dollars here we’ll just be visiting with George at the pet shop for quite some time yet.

Oh, alright then.Wink Bearing mind Cavendish’s comments on George’s appearance it’s probably appropriate:-
“Who’s a pretty boy then?”Laugh

Whenever I see Padraic Delaney I have an overwhelming and irrational urge to throw a set of darts at him. Can’t think why.Cry

I did name my red tailed shark Jasper if that can be classed as being a little squirrels when it comes to loving the Tudors.. Jasper as you know was the uncle of Henry Tudor (H7)
As it is my fish are all sulking at the moment as my tank sprung a leak again at the weekend so they are in the emergency tank at the moment. Dinosaur has put enough sealent around their tank now that could quite easier stick 2 battleships together. So hopefully I can get them back in their tank by tommorow. They will still sulk for a few days though. Gingy when he’s sulking super sucks marbles at the bottom of the tank.
