The little vengance demons name your new fish after Anne and her “lovers”…

I did name my red tailed shark Jasper if that can be classed as being a little squirrels when it comes to loving the Tudors.. Jasper as you know was the uncle of Henry Tudor (H7)
As it is my fish are all sulking at the moment as my tank sprung a leak again at the weekend so they are in the emergency tank at the moment. Dinosaur has put enough sealent around their tank now that could quite easier stick 2 battleships together. So hopefully I can get them back in their tank by tommorow. They will still sulk for a few days though. Gingy when he’s sulking super sucks marbles at the bottom of the tank.

Our oscars have been going crazy lately! I dont know if its the weird weather we are having down here…they have been slating the bottom of the tank for months, and the female keeps knocking all the rocks and stuff over. We thought they were mating but there havent been any eggs, i think maybe the female is trying to redecorate! Which may explain why she ate our sucker last week! Poor thing, she swallowed him whole! Im sure the male was very impressed! hehehe

We have 2 tanks 1 Tropical and 1 Marine, Dinosaur says have you checked the water conditions, are there too many phosphates, ammonia, and nitrate etc levels. That could be a reason for them being agitated, the weather doesn’t usually affect them as they don’t know what the weather is doing outside their tank.
What are you feeding them on? Oscars are funny things when it comes to feeding and can be quite picky.
Not always a good idea to put sucker fish or any fish in with Oscars as they will eat anything and everything that is smaller than them.
In the Marine tank at the moment we have a Fox face (Foxy) 2 Clown Fish (Nemo and Coral) A Strippy Mandarine and a Spotty Mandarine (Mr and Mrs Fu) A cleaner Wrasse (Jill) A rectangular Trigger Fish (Scamp) and a Scooter Fish (Zippy). They are all very fat and spoilt and certainly a lot bigger than they should be we think that might be something in the water.
In the Tropical tank A red tailed Shark (Jasper) A spotty cat fish (Snowball) Golden Loach (Gingy) 2 white Angels (Milly and Molly) 2 Kissing Gouramis (Pixie and Dixie) 1 black neon tetra (Fred) and a Puffer fish (Puffy). Again like the Marines they are very fat, spoilt and bigger than they should be.
The Chipmunks are just as bad they are spoilt rotten. Dinosaur is in the middle of building them a new cage, so hopefully we should get them in it in the next month or so..

Actually Tash Oscars like to redecorate, I haven’t kept them in a long time, but they do like to move rocks around. Mine were small so I always left smaller ones in there for them to push around.

To be honest Anyanka I don’t know, all I can tell you about him/her is that he/she is lime green with black spots. Likes chomping on snails and loves sprats.

Sounds like a green-spotted puffer then, aren’t us biologists really imaginative at times???

I’ve kept them in the past they are really easy to keep and highly curious. I was susposed to pick some up today but had a tank problem which means it will be the end of the week before I can get them…

You know you speak too much Tudors when at the age of 11 your year 3 class teacher asks you to visit her class and do a presentation on Henry VIII’s wives because she thinks your more enthusiastic about them than she is.

You know you speak too much Tudors when your cousin calls you from her hospital bed after giving birth to let you know there is a play at the local theatre on about Anne Boleyn.

Woohoo I'm normal...gotta go tell the cat!

I wish that was the case with my teachers, they just generally chucked a book at you and then ignored you. and spent their time doing The Times Crossword, although our History teacher (that’s a joke) couldn’t even complete the Sun crossword without help.

This was only in my Primary school and I didn’t go to a school that had a lot of intelligent people in it, so i was kind of their pet. They even made me stand up in front of the whole school one time and recite a 7 verse poem about Henry’s six wives that i’d learnt off by heart when I was 9. Strange! When I did hte Tudors in my high school however, I had to restrain myself from correcting the teacher on numerous occasions. She seemed to think Anne Boleyn was only pretending to be Protestant to please Henry!!

That’s really cool they let you do that KellyMarie! I wish my school would have let people do that. My teachers didn’t really have an overabundance of brains…Frown I was constantly raising my hand and correcting them on their history facts. LOL
On another note, a couple of weeks ago I was watching “Michael Collins” on my Kindle (I just LOVE Liam Neeson! Embarassed ) and in the end of the movie, who should appear but Jonathan Rhys Meyers! Any way, at the end of the movie, JRM shoots Michael Collins (Liam Neeson). I was SHOCKED! I was going, “NOOO!” I told my husband about it, and he laughed his butt off, because he knows how much I like Liam Neeson and “The Tudors” show. I just said, “That’s just like King Henry to shoot an Irishman!” Wink

At times I almost dream, I too have spent a life the sages' way,
And tread once more familiar paths. Perchance I perished in an arrogant self-reliance
Ages ago; and in that act, a prayer For one more chance went up so earnest, so
Instinct with better light let in by death, That life was blotted out—not so completely
But scattered wrecks enough of it remain Dim memories as now, when once more seems The goal in sight again. -- Robert Browning, Paracelsus

My school were useless really, I think they were just impressed with themselves tha they’d managed to produce somebody with a ounce of intelligence. They once got half way through teachings usthe Egyptians for the second time when they realised we’d already studied it lol….oh dear.

I had the same thing when I recently watched Bend it like Beckham….when I saw his leg injury I thouht, he’s lying, its scars from an ulcer! Oh I’m seriously derranged.

Woohoo I'm normal...gotta go tell the cat!
