I'm a big nerd and I LOVE to color, so when I stumbled upon this coloring book on Amazon, I had to buy it. It isn't a long coloring book, but it covers England's primary fashions from Henry VI through Elizabeth I. It's very interesting to see how much the dress changed in the span of 100 years or so. And it cost less than $5.00 US (plus shipping, of course). It also includes some detailed information at the bottom of each page describing what is being worn in the illustration.

Thanks Clarebear, I'll have to check out that link!
I have a Henry and his wives paper doll/colouring book that I picked up last time I was in England, with several gowns taken from portraits for each figure. But no one is allowed to colour in that or cut out the paper dolls – copies need to be taken first! I have an Elizabeth paper doll book as well that my niece scribbled in and kind of ruined, so now the rule is photocopy first!!!!!!!

You can go to Dover Publications website, and order the book from them.I'll have to look at the site to see if they still offer it, but I'm sure they do.They also have books on costumes as well, and books on other subjects.I have bought books from them over the years.I love old houses, and have purchased several of their architectural books, some of which if you could find at a used book dealer, might cost a pretty penny.
