Here’s some more…
~ Emmeline Pankhurst & Henry VIII – simply because I think she could argue her way out of an execution, and somehow manage to divorce Henry and get all their stuff 😉 A more ill-suited couple is hard to imagine!
~ Jane Grey and Martin Luther, perhaps? I can only imagine all the discussions they’d get into!
~ Diane de Poitiers and Charles Brandon. Couldn’t say why, they just popped into my head!
(btw, just reread my previous list and am feeling very ashamed of my comment about Jane Seymour calling her an “ambitious so-and-so”; remembering now, I think I wrote it when I was feeling very tired and a tad grumpy, because I certainly didn’t mean to sound that rude O_o )
Anyway, here’s another list, this time throwing modern day people into the mix… =)
~ Stephen Fry and Catherine Parr
~ Mary Boleyn and Colin Firth
~ And last but not least, Avril Lavigne and Mark Smeaton – both into music! I imagine they could write some pretty good songs together, a mix of modern pop/rock and Tudor court music <3

Lady Jane Grey and Edward 6th what a perfect match they would have been, both fervently Protestant, clever, small and delicate they’d be just right.
Anne Boleyn and Mark Smeaton because there is something tragic and romantic about them both both and they’d be very erotic as a couple.
Henry 8th and Queen Victoria, Victoria had 9 children and I think 4 of them were male ( Bertie, Alfred, Arthur and Leopald) she was the control freak too and very much enjoyed her sex so he’d have been happy I think with that.

King Alfred and Katherine Parr. I can just see her cloking Alfred over the head with a broom after he burned the cakes she had made.
William the conqueror and Anne Boleyn, William was as much as Spitfire in his way as Anne was. It would be good to see who would win the battles between them, however I’m sure Annne would win the war.

Catherine of Aragon and George VI…he seemed quite content with just daughters as heir
I think Katherine Howard and Marie Antoinette would be good friends
Less content with a daughter than totally horrified by his wife. Apparently they consumated the marriage once and Princess Caroline managed to become pregnant and relieving Prinny of further marital duties towards her..
It's always bunnies.

He was indeed. She was our present Queen’s mum.
