AnneBullen, the link did not come through, at least on my computer. Is it the portrait of Mary Boleyn in a gable hood, pearl necklace and (apparently) ermine-trimmed sleeves, as shown on http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/b….. ? I do not know how authentic the portrait is, but if the BBC deigns to use it…

As far as I know, there are a couple of portraits of Mary Boleyn. One is at Hever, and can be viewed in the Inner Hall. The other is at Warwick Castle and is on display in the Blue Boudoir. According to Warwick Castle guidebook, the portrait is 18th centruy.
I've seen both these portraits. Mary Boleyn, according to these portraits, was more conventionally beautiful than Anne Boleyn, but she lacks Anne's attraction. But, I am not sure about how authentic these portraits are of Mary. However, I can see the why Henry would find Mary attractive: blonde, pale, and slightly plump. The perfect Tudor woman.

Great protrait of Mary. I've never seen it before. I visited Holyrood House last fall, and never saw this portrait. Darn! I guess I'll have to go back someday! I agree with HannahL and AnneBullen: Mary is very angelic looking. Is there any information about who may have painted this, or a history of where the portrait may have come from?
