Wow, I can’t quite believe that The Anne Boleyn Files is two years old today, it only seems like yesterday that I had a dream about being present at Anne Boleyn’s execution and then started the website as a result of that. I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again, thank you so much for your support as this website just would not exist without you guys reading the articles, commenting, discussing, buying things and spreading the message – thank you from the bottom of my heart.
To celebrate our 2 year birthday I asked you to write an article on “Did the life and death of Anne Boleyn make an impact on history and, if so, how and why?” and I had some fabulous articles sent to me. The 17 people who entered all put their hearts and souls into the article and the judges had a tough time deciding on a winner, in fact, they had a bit of an argument! Anyway, eventually we chose a winner but there are also two runners up.
Here are the results:-
- Winner – Anne Clinard Barnhill for her article “Anne Boleyn – Rockin’ Renaissance”
- Runners up – Jennifer Schuh’s “Anne Boleyn’s Impact on History” and Ingrid Camargo da Motta’s “And if any person will meddle..”. Ingrid, I can’t believe how good your English is!
Anne wins a signed copy of Robert Parry’s “The Arrow Chest” and a $20 Anne Boleyn Files voucher and Jennifer and Ingrid win $10 Anne Boleyn Files vouchers.
Thank you to everyone who entered, the judges enjoyed reading every article and it was really tough choosing a winner. I have published all of the entries at our “Impact on History” page. I’m proud to have such quality writing on The Anne Boleyn Files.
