Wow! This year has flown by! I can’t quite believe that it’s already November and that I had the publication of this book scheduled in my diary for 17th February, the 10th anniversary of the Anne Boleyn Files. Ooops, only missed it by 9 months!
Thank you so much for your patience, I got a little tied up running the Tudor Society and this site, and doing my daily “on this day” videos. I know sleep is over-rated, but I did need some!
Anyway, back to the matter in hand… The Anne Boleyn Collection III is available to pre-order right now on kindle for release on 14th November 2019, the Feast of St Erkenwald and the 487th anniversary of a possible secret marriage for Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn (acccording to my very favourite chronicler, Edward Hall). Just go to http://getbook.at/boleyn-3 to pre-order the kindle version right now. The paperback will also be released on 14th November.
Now, this book isn’t a normal history book, or even a normal book, it’s a collection of works by yours truly (me, Claire Ridgway) on Anne Boleyn, Henry VIII and other Tudor personalities. The articles featured in the book are favourite posts from the Anne Boleyn Files, and articles based on talks and videos I’ve done over the past few years. The book’s a bit of a celebration of ten years of The Anne Boleyn Files, ten years of immersing myself in Tudor history. So, it’s not new stuff, well, not for Anne Boleyn Files regulars anyway.
Here’s the blurb:
Claire Ridgway, best-selling author and creator of the Anne Boleyn Files website, celebrates the 10th anniversary of her site with this collection of articles on Anne Boleyn, second wife of King Henry VIII, and Tudor history.
Written in Claire’s easy-going style, but with an emphasis on good history and sound research, The Anne Boleyn Collection III is perfect reading for Tudor history lovers everywhere. Myths, popular misconceptions and inaccuracies, are all challenged by Claire using contemporary evidence.
Topics include:
- What did Anne Boleyn look like?
- Did Henry VIII love Anne Boleyn?
- Mary Boleyn and Henry VIII
- The spitefully ambitious Anne Boleyn
- Was Anne Boleyn in love with Henry Norris?
- Lady Jane Grey and Mary I – Who was the usurper?
- Henry VIII – From Renaissance prince to tyrant
- The Fall of Anne Boleyn – Why did it happen?
The fascinating articles are taken from the popular Anne Boleyn Files website and talks that Claire has done over the past few years.
So, there you go, it’s finally here! Go to http://getbook.at/boleyn-3 to pre-order the kindle version. I do hope you enjoy it!
By the way, The Anne Boleyn Collection and The Anne Boleyn Collection II are also available.
